We all have a desire to be successful, and we accomplish success in different ways. My keys for success have helped me out in difficult situations and are invaluable tools at my disposal.

My biggest key to success is being confident. If you don't believe you aren't going to be successful, you won't. However, if you are confident in yourself and your abilities, then you will take every step in order to be successful.

Being confident will make it easier to go outside your comfort zone, which is another key in being successful. Sometimes you will have to go beyond what most other people do in order to become noticed. In order to do this, you need to step outside your comfort zone.

Finally, I find that focusing on the task at hand will lead to success. If I am worrying about things that are a month away, then I am not focusing on what needs to be done right now, and I will not be as successful as I could have been if I was focusing only on what mattered at the time. Perhaps the only good thing to procrastinate is worrying!

In addition to the above tips, I would also advise future computer science students to explore specific areas and find the ones that they can become passionate about. This comes into play when you are trying to figure out exactly what you want to do with your computer science career. There are a lot of options, so start thinking early!
