Hello World!

This is Srinath. I'm currently a second year graduate student and am working as a research assistant working on application tracing in parallel computing environments. I'm super excited to work on some really awesome cluster environments. Makes me think that I can compute anything I want in no time! :)

This is my first semester as a STARS member. I'm hoping to mentor/teach undergraduates some programming. I hope to help someone out thereby augmenting my skills as a teacher as well.

The summer was well spent at Riverbed technology, Sunnyvale. I was an intern in their kernel networking team. It was an enriching experience and I got to meet some really smart folks and learnt a lot.

My aims for this semester are to

- Do awesome progress in the research

- For fun, learn haskell, a functional programming language and implement a small machine learning library for it

- Learn android programming and implement a small VoIP client on it
